Hussein H. Abu Al-Ruz, a distinguished Jordanian scholar, is a Professor of Special Physical Education and Adapted Physical Activity at the Department of Sport Sciences, Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan. His impressive academic journey includes a Ph.D. in Special Physical Education from Helwan University, Cairo, Egypt (1989), complemented by an M.Sc. in Coaching Science (1983) and a B.Sc. in Physical Education (1978) from the same institution in Alexandria, Egypt. Dr. Abu Al-Ruz has held numerous academic positions, including serving as a Founder and Dean of the Faculty of Physical Education and Sport Sciences at Hashemite University and as a Dean at the Faculty of Physical Education at Yarmouk University. His experience and expertise in the realm of sport and education have made him an invaluable contributor to Jordan’s educational landscape.

In addition to his academic roles, Dr. Abu Al-Ruz has significantly impacted the field of sport administration. He has been a pivotal figure in various organizations, including the International Paralympic Committee, where he serves as a Governing Board Member representing the Middle East Region. His influence extends to his role as the President of the Paralympic Committee of the Middle East Region and as President of the Jordan Paralympic Committee. He is also the President-Elect of the Middle East Federation of Adapted Physical Activity (MEFAPA). Dr. Abu Al-Ruz’s contributions to sports administration and academia have made a lasting mark on Jordan’s sporting landscape.
